About Lamberts Poultry and Seafood

Lamberts’ is located in Holland, Michigan, and has a retail store in addition to being a supplier to hotels and restaurant in the southwest Michigan area; we have refriged trucks on the road every day except Sunday. Lamberts' specializes in the highest quality fresh fish, seafood, and poultry products. These products include premium lake fish, ocean seafood, fresh poultry and gourmet seasonings and spices. We receive fish and seafood from many places around the world. Lamberts' acquires much of the seafood from the east coast and Canada is our largest source for freshwater fish.

Lamberts was started in 1945 by Mr. Julius Lamberts and his wife Ann. They raised chicken as a hobby, which he turned into a business by selling them to local restaurants. His first delivery vehicle was a Studebaker car he bought from his father in law. Mr. Lamberts continued expanding his business and eventual bought a small, 20 by 30 foot ice cream store at 689 Michigan Ave to start a retail poultry store. The first Thanksgiving Mr. Lamberts started dressing turkeys on Sunday night at midnight and worked 'till early Wednesday morning. Eventually the store was expanded twice. Seafood was added since Holland is located near shores of lake Michigan and there were many commercial fishermen located there. At first it was only fresh lake fish that was sold but over time products from around the world were added. We now carry shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico and king crab legs from Alaska.

Besides have fresh poultry and seafood’s, Lamberts also has a deep fried array where we prepare hot fish, chicken and seafood’s to go, for your lunch or dinner. Call ahead and we can have it ready to go.

Lamberts is now owned by his son, Jim Lamberts and son in law Mike Myrick, who continue to sell quality fresh and frozen poultry and seafood to the public and also to fine restaurants in south west Michigan.
